December 2016 training

Week 1 (12-4 to 12-10)

Sunday

Morning run – 2:30 (ish); ran the Nittany Valley half at 6:50 pace in the middle, so it was nice to get a little bit of speed in during the 20 miles

Monday

Morning lift – legs

Afternoon run – :45 easy

Tuesday

Morning lift

Afternoon workout – hills on Four Hills; honestly, not the best workout, but my legs still feel sore

Wednesday

Morning lift – legs

Afternoon run – :45 easy

Thursday

Morning lift

Afternoon workout – 200,400,600,800,1k,800,600,400,200 ladder; everything was at 5:20 or below pace with the last 200 being at 30 seconds

Friday

Afternoon run – :45 easy

Saturday

Morning run – 2:35 with 2000 ft of gain on Purdue Mountain (7:45 pace, I won’t complain). My legs were pretty trashed an slowly moving my the end of it. All those climbs on the top of the mountain crushed me.

Week 2 (12-11 to 12-17)

Sunday

Afternoon workout – :35-ish tempo at 6:10 pace through on a route with 230 ft of gain, so not necessarily flat, with fresh snow. After the run yesterday, I’ll definitely take it.

Monday

Morning lift – legs

Afternoon run – :30 easy on the treadmill… ugh

Tuesday
